Genre: Western

ASIN: B01BPPBJRQ

Print Length: 24 pages

Plot synopsis: Bloody war erupts along the Texas border between hang-rope vigilantes and ruthless outlaws when the ranchers along the Rio Grande decide to take the law into their own hands to hunt down rustlers and raiders from south of the border.

Cover: A good cover that not only makes the genre clear, but gives a synopsis of the story as well.

At only 24 pages, Hangman's Black Pact sits somewhere between a short story and a novella, but there is a lot packed into these few pages. The story line glides easily through the pages and it has the feel of a much longer novel (indeed I believe it presents the perfect framework for a much longer story). For so few pages, the setting and characters are well developed and the plot, although classic in layout, provides the readers with some unexpected twists and keeps you guessing about what will happen to some of the characters. A great book for a long commute or internal flight.
