In Cold Blood

The twentieth century has dawned.

In Lafraville, Louisiana the power and influence of the Durant family is in decline. In order to revive the social standing of her family, the dynastical matriarch, Francoise Durant, demands that her nephew, Anthony, rekindles his romantic relationship with Katherine Stewart in order to get control of the valuable Stewart Plantation. But Anthony is more concerned about the challenge to his authority from a group of increasingly defiant freed slaves and their offspring.

The situation is complicated further by the arrival of an Irish gunman and bounty hunter, Scully O’sullivan, who dares to confront Anthony and then steals the heart of Katherine. Consumed with jealousy and, seemingly, being challenged on all sides, Anthony goes on a murderous rampage, setting off a sequence of events in which the gun is king and which even the domineering Francoise may not be able to control.

Will she regain command of the situation, or will the family fall?
