I am in the early stages of reading and writing short stories and thought this would be a good introduction to the genre. I read a lot and like a good story, but really this anthology is just trying to be too clever. I suppose there will be some that like the abstract nature of a lot of the stories and might consider me to be a "Philistine", but all I want is a good story, with a narrative that is empathetic to the reader and something that makes sense. Except for a few gems, I did not find much of what I was looking for in this anthology.

What others thought:

At the time of writing there were two reviews on Amazon.co.uk, both were 5*. There were no reviews on Amazon.com. On Goodreads.com there were 8 ratings (including 2 reviews), six of which were of 3* or more, giving an average of 3.5*.
