I am in the early stages of reading and writing short stories and thought this would be a good introduction to the genre. I read a lot and like a good story, but really this anthology is just trying to be too clever. I suppose there will be some that like the abstract nature of a lot of the stories and might consider me to be a "Philistine", but all I want is a good story, with a narrative that is empathetic to the reader and something that makes sense. Except for a few gems, I did not find much of what I was looking for in this anthology.
