Guns on the Pecos by D.G. Wyatt

Title: Guns on the Pecos Author: D.G. Wyatt Print Length: 62 pages Publisher: Dusty Saddle Publishing

Genre: Western ASIN: B06XDCY8MN

Plot Summary: Jay Stratton is a man with no memory of his past. He travels through the Old West looking for anyone who can help solve the question of who he is or where he’s from. Finally, he gives up his search only to find his past comes searching for him.

At only 62 pages this is a short novella and to some extent that is its problem. The author does not seem to have enough time to develop the characters or give a deep sense of place, all of which is not helped by rather clunky dialogue. Nevertheless, you might have imagined, given the book is so short, that I might have finished it, and so I might have, except for the fact that it is so littered with typographical and grammatical errors that I did not think it merited completion.
